On March 24, the Safety Law Enforcement of the Ministry of Emergency Management and the Bureau of Industry and Trade Supervision held a video conference on accident analysis of iron and steel enterprises to report the situation of the "3.14" production fire in the desulfurization and denitrification environmental protection project of Inner Mongolia Baotou Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. Regarding the problems exposed by the accident, we urge all localities and related enterprises to deeply learn the lessons of the accident, draw inferences from one case to another, and resolutely prevent and resolve major safety risks.
At the meeting, experts analyzed the situation of Baotou Steel's "3.14" accident. The principals of Shandong Guoshun Construction Group Co., Ltd. and Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Co., Ltd. made speeches one after another, reflecting on the problems exposed by the accident and reporting rectification measures.
The meeting pointed out that since the beginning of this year, there have been many major accidents in the inspection and maintenance operations and environmental protection facilities of iron and steel enterprises. All units must always keep a clear head, recognize the situation, and do a solid and conscientious job in the safety production of iron and steel enterprises.
The meeting emphasized that emergency management departments at all levels and related enterprises should fully implement safety management and control measures, and ensure that the responsibilities of all parties are fully implemented. Facility safety inspections shall be conducted to strictly prevent the frequent occurrence of environmental protection facility accidents; it is necessary to continue to further promote the three-year special rectification of the industry and trade industry to consolidate and improve to ensure effective results.
